Subject: Re: [wsrm] New WS-X Specifications (BEA)
Hi Joe, Right. Yes, I'm aware of them. I hope BEA makes a formal announcement about the relationship between their three specs and WS-ReliableMessaging spec. Anyway it is interesting to know both BEA's specs and WS-RM spec are similar to WS-R, which means they are also similar to ebMS RM. Thanks, Iwasa Fujitsu > I'm not sure if anyone has seen this recent announcement - and if it has > any significance for us at all beyond general awareness. > > BEA recently released 3 "WS-X" specifications: > > WS-Acknowledgement > WS-Callback > WS-MessageData > > More details: > > * WS-Acknowledgement: Designed to support reliable message exchange > between services by providing for at-least-once and exactly-once SOAP > message transfer guarantees; > > * WS-Callback: Used to dynamically specify where to send asynchronous > responses to a SOAP request; > > * WS-MessageData: Enables the re-use of meta-data about a message across > SOAP extensions; > > I find it interesting that although BEA was an author of > WS-ReliableMessaging (part of GXA), they have gone off and created their > own reliable messaging specification (WS-Acknowledgment).
