Subject: Re: [wsrm] WS-ReliableMessaging: Where Are Message ID's
Thanks Nikola, it's starting to come back to me. Yes, we are retreading old ground when talking about how sequence numbers may be used. Hopefully, we're coming at it from a slightly different angle today. I don't, for example, remember anybody mentioning an issue with having more than one unique identifier for a message. I should also mention that you and SHIMAMURA Masayoshi were talking about a very different protocol than what's in ebXML Messaging 2.0. The sliding window feature was removed and the (optional) sequence number "relegated" to message ordering purposes after the time of these threads. thanx, doug On 2003-04-17 12:26, Nikola wrote: > <Doug> > This leads to an interesting problem, discussed long ago on the W3C Web > Services Architecture WG public mailing list. > ... > </Doug> > > Similar things had been discussed on the ebMS listserv (see "message > threads" (are they ordered? - just kidding:) > http://lists.ebxml.org/archives/ebxml-transport/200012/msg00260.html and > http://lists.ebxml.org/archives/ebxml-transport/200101/msg00019.html) > > Nikola
