Subject: RE: [wsrp-interop] http issues

Title: RE: [wsrp-interop] http issues

yes, and loads into Visual Studio 2003.

On the http issues I raised on the call, I see two behaviours:

1) When I register & access my .NET portlet on the Oracle portal, an image (.gif) and a HTML resource are not downloaded correctly from my ASP.NET/IIS server to the portal (the image is a [X] and the HTML is truncated). These are resource URls that are WSRP consumer re-written correctly and are accessible from the Internet (when my producer is up - we are in the process of putting in an always-on test bed). Next chance to test this again will be WSRP 1.0.

2) [this one concerns me more]. I can now place a tcp monitor between my .NET based consumer and the Oracle producer, now that the virtual host / host header issue is gone. However, all I saw was dropped connections, so I was not able to get to registration using a SOAP monitor. Our client uses http 1.1 with (1.0) keep-alive header and an Expect: Continue header (and so does our proxy!). I saw no 1.1 close (but no 1.0 keep alive which I would, any way, only expect from a 1.0 server), the connection just terminated. Without the monitor, I see occasional connection failures but portlets display fine for me most of the time.

As well as checking what sits in the path, for WSRP 1.0 testing, it may be worth installing a producer side tcp monitor to help locate the problem.

Or we could just use SSL. Then we know we have no "man in the middle" ;-)

regards,
Andre

Richard,
Have these been pushed to oasis correctly?  The public ones still be
the last version with the new version sitting alongside with .xml
extensions.  As we hardcode these links its preventing us from upgrading to
1.0.

The 1.0 files also seem to be there with a ".xml" suffix.
