Andre,

Thanks for you clarification.  Yes, I realize that we do not handle this situation properly.  Just want to confirm with you that this is the case.

Regards,
David.

Yes, that's the case of our test harness. The spec says producer can assume that all transitions are valid if no values are supplied.

Hi Andre,

Just want to confirm with you, Citrix consumer does not send any value for markupParams.validNewModes and markupParams.validNewWindowStates when all the transitions are allowed, right?

regards,
David.

I see some exceptions when switching back from edit mode (UnsupportedMode or OperationFailed - see attached traces). The portlets offered by the Sun producer seem to have changed but the problem seems a general one related to a getMarkup(mode=view) when the last used mode was edit?

Andre

Hi Andre,

Many thanks for trying this out so quickly. The issue is that, and I faild to mention this in my note, this particular Producer required that values for the (3) registration properties be sent for the register() operation. However, I think we should perhaps throw back a MissingParameters fault instead, that too with some detail embedded in the fault. We will try and make this change  in the next revision of the Producer whenever we update the server. Also, later on, just to cover all the test scenarios,  we will try and setup another Producer that either does not mandate registration properties (i.e. they are optional) or does not mandate registration entirely.

In the interim, could you please retry and this time supply [even arbitary] values for the registration properties?

Regards,

Atul

Hi Atul,

I did a quick test against the Sun producer and got an OperationFailed fault when trying to the register() operation (Trace attached).

testing

The Sun Java System Portal Server based WSRP Producer and Consumer
implementations are now available for interop testing.

The Producer WSDL URL is -
        http://sunwsrp.dyndns.org/portal/wsrp/wsdl/default

This Producer requires registration and publishes a set of 13
miscellaneous portlets.

In addition, the following site demonstrates the [Sun] Consumer
subscription and rendering of portlets published by some of the
Producers currently available out there for interop testing -
        http://sunwsrp.dyndns.org

The site has a tab dedicated to each Producer; and is read-only mode.
Thanks to folks who have helped with interop issues with their
respective Producers along the way in getting this setup and working.

We would appreciate folks initiating interop testing against the above
Producer and Consumer and letting us know of any issues/comments. Also,
please let us know if  there are other Producers we can add to the
Consumer site to test against.

Thanks

Atul
