Minutes taken by Rex Brooks
Meeting convened11:05 a.m. Eastern Time
This meeting was held on the first Wednesday following the Face to
Face Meetings in Grenoble, France May 12-14, 2003. It has now been
rescheduled to be biweekly on Wednesdays mirroring the TC meeting
schedule at this time.
Rich attended to personally answer Noah's post requesting
documentation of CSS classes in v1.0 of the spec, and to coordinate
the subcommittee in the overall TC flow of work for the TC through the
remainder of the Public Review Process for WSRP v1.0, the OASIS
approval process and the upcoming work of producing v1.1 and starting
work on v2.0. Rich posted the documentation to the SC list during
meeting.
The first item on the agenda was to review the changes needed to the
charter. Rich updated the SC on the results of the Face to Face
discussions. It was requested at large that the WSRP-Markup
Subcommittee concentrate its work for the remainder of work on
v1.0-1.1 on Section 10 from the last revision of the SC Charter, and
defer the rest of the work scoped by the charter for v2.0
consideration.
Rex said he would amend the charter and post a second revision for
review.
The second item on the agenda was to discuss upcoming scheduling of
meetings. It was indicated by Rich that the TC would be meeting less
frequently until September, every other week, and it was agreed that
this SC would likewise meet at biweekly intervals. It was also the
consensus of the TC that future TC meetings would include time set
aside for the SCs to report on their respective work. The next
meeting was scheduled for three weeks to coincide with the next TC
meeting.
It was suggested that we spend the next couple of months recruiting
experts from among the member companies represented on the TC. We
agreed to do so.
In regard to this effort, it was suggested and agreed that we would
specifically look for experts in the fields of voiceXML and WML. Rex
asked Rich to contact Walter Haenel so that his future participation
as one of our voiceXML experts could be reconfirmed.
Rex said he would also contact Plumtree and Novell to see if it might
be possible to recruit a markup expert from Plumtree and/or Novell for
this subcommittee.
The meeting adjourned at 11:25 p.m.
