Title: VXML 2.0 and personal update
Hi Folks,
I have a couple of pieces of news.
First VXML 2.0 is close to recommendation status.
http://www.internetweek.com/openSource/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=17601776
Second is that I am suffering from chronic tendinitis in my left
hand and it is hampering my output, vis a vis Markup Section in the
Primer.
However, one other note for Primer, since we haven't been in
touch, and our last scheduled meeting was postponed due to my doctor's
appt. for this hand ailment.I have always thought that the actual
displayed sample of the hypothetical portlet would be supplied by
Subbu along with the code for the portlet, and that I would write a
description of it for the Markup Section with the messages which
implement the pass-through to the user/client. It was never my
understanding that I would generate the markup code itself, generic
though it is. I did think that I might suggest ways in which our CSS
classes could be shown in this and I would be responsible for
describing that aspect of the Primer.
I can still do what I have described but more than that may not
be possible. I have bad days and not so bad days, but the tendinitis
isn't disappearing. Oddly enough, I may be forced to adopt a voice
control system myself, but that is an expense and learning curve that
is somewhere over the horizon at this point.
For Markup, I will write to Max again, and try to get an answer
on what's up with our scenarios.
Ciao,
Rex
