Subject: Re: [wsrp-primer] Can I get a copy of the primer notes from f2f?

Interesting idea about asking vendors to publish message logs, but I'm not sure it would fly. In general, the documentation you are referring to is targeted at portlet developers and they will in general be completely ignorant of whether the portlet container has made a network interface available for remotely interacting with the portlet. If anyone knows of tooling that will output Producer code instead, then it might be an interesting suggestion.

[wsrp-markup] Can I get a copy of the primer notes from f2f?

Hi Subbu, Rich, Markup folks,

I would like to get back onto the primer work. So if you made your
notes on a copy of the primer, or however you kept them, if they are
separate from the Secretarial Notes for the Minutes, I would love to
get a copy of that. There are a number of lessons we have now learned
concerning how an approach to such work as the primer or an
implementation guide/notes can better address both the needs of a
general reader and a programmer implementing the specification that I
want to reinforce before the general overload takes over again. Since
I now have an implementation guide project to go along with CAP
(Common Alerting Protocol) in the Emergency Management TC which goes
up for an OASIS-wide vote starting the 15th, this will help me in
that work, too.

I also had an idea that might make this all tie together better, and
that would be if IBM in Eclipse/Websphere, Sun in SunONE using the
java web services development kit with JSR168/WSRP, BEA in WebLogic,
Oracle in its jdeveloper and portalsdk, SAP using its portal platform
integration suite (Netweaver?)  and CiTRiX using VisualStudio.NET
would all produce an appendix showing their message logs, sample
code, and finished portlets for the Pinc-Cinc Portfolio Manager
tutorial samples or else put their versions of these samples on their
own developer resources pages, it would be very useful. I realize
that this might be a pipe dream, but what do you guys think?

Rich, I'm just curious how the W3C VXML WG meeting went. My potential
call-center contact tracking client is expressing interest in
developing the wireless update component of a combined WSRP-CAP
demonstration.

Ciao,
Rex
