Subject: [wsrp-security] [wsrp][security] agenda for 8/7 security telecon
During the last call Yossi proposed that we reconsider having producer metadata defining the subset of profile elements it cares about. He posted a message outlining the benefits, which include possibly enabling the approach of simply including profile data in each call, rather than needing additional operations and requiring a producer to implement stateful behavior if it wants to use any profile data. Since there was no discussion in the mailgroups, I would like to use this week's call to discuss and reach a decision on this. One issue that came to mind is how extensibility is supported under this approach. Other issues raised in last week's call were: - from WSIA security discussions: how does an entity indicate that an action should be executed in a secure manner? - related to above: can different transport connections be used between producer and consumer for different operations within the same session scope? We can get into these issues further if time permits.
