Subject: [wsrp-wsia] [change request #133] Wild card mime types for MarkupTypestructure
Document: Spec Section: 5.1.10 Page/Line: 19/36 Requested by: Mike Freedman Old text: [insert new sentence] Proposed text: Wild card references are valid (e.g. */* or text/*). Reasoning: Some consumers/portals don't aggregate portlets (i.e. iFrame based portals). These portlets can be more flexible in the variety of content they manage to the point where the content/type is fully dynamic -- hence can only be represented generally vs. specifically in the Portlet Description. JSR 168 has added the ability to describe portlet markup using wildcards for these reasons. WSRP needs to keep in sync with this JSR 168 semantic.
