Hello,

I listened to today's security discussion from the F2F very carefully. I was
able to hear most of it, although some parts were too quiet to understand. I
decided not to interrupt, but here are a couple of thoughts. 

To be useful for "every application" within the U. S. Navy (and similar
organizations) something like SAML/WS-Security will almost certainly be
required. I understand the desire to have something simpler than those
maturing standards in WSRP Version 1.0. I think that the simpler mechanism
will still be useful for some U. S. Navy needs.

By the way, implementations are beginning to appear for these standards (see
http://middleware.internet2.edu/opensaml/).
