Greetings. I am forwarding this query to the wss comment email lists to ask if anyone still around has insight into why someone might claim that a wss namespace was deprecated. OASIS has certainly never taken action to do this and, to the best of my knowledge, there is no central registry of namespaces where such an action might be taken.ÂAny feedback is greatly appreciated!Â/chet---------- Forwarded message ---------

We have a few core web services that specify the http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd namespace in the security header using the wsse prefix.

We have been notified by one of our consuming applications that this namespace has been deprecated and as such, the vendor software used by the consuming application to call our ws has blacklisted the namespace.

I am hoping Oasis might be able to provide me with some advice around the usage of this namespace â is it supported for continued use?
This is unfortunately a critical query as the vendor application has unfortunately hard-coded the blacklist and as such arenât readily able to facilitate a change.
