WSS SAML Token Profile and new Subject Confirmation Methods

The WSS SAML Token Profile 1.1 discusses how the Holder-of-Key, Sender- 
Vouches and Bearer confirmation methods should be processed (section  
3.5).

However the profile does not, AFAICT, discuss processing in the event  
of that a different (i.e., novel to either SAML 1.1 or SAML 2.0  
Profiles) Subject Confirmation Method is used.

I am considering defining a new subject confirmation method, and need  
to understand how this might interact with the WSS SAML Token Profile.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
