Subject: RE: [wss] Web Services Security Addendum?
OK, the newly revised DTD file indeed contains valid XML schema (XSD) file. I guess you can name a schema file with any extension, including DTD, but don't understand why not with an .xsd extension. -----Original Message----- From: Ahmed, Zahid [mailto:zahid.ahmed@commerceone.com] Sent: Friday, August 23, 2002 3:41 PM To: 'wss@lists.oasis-open.org' Subject: [wss] Web Services Security Addendum? I noticed that on the Microsoft's web site a web services security addendum has recently been published. http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnglobspec/ html/ws-security-addendum.asp I appreciate the addendum - particularly since there are numerous parties contemplating interoperability and conformance to this spec - even before/during the time this TC is going to review it and possibly revise it towards the goal of an OASIS WSS standard. However, in the meantime, I want to find out what do people think w.r.t. schema changes that have taken place between the April 2002 version and the (un-announced) August 2002 version. In particular there no longer seems to be an XSD schema defintion file, rather a DTD? Anyone care to elaborate? thanks & regards, Zahid ---------------------------------------------------------------- To subscribe or unsubscribe from this elist use the subscription manager: <http://lists.oasis-open.org/ob/adm.pl>
