Subject: Editorial comments on UsernameToken 1.1
I have the following editorial comments on the UsernameToken 1.1 document: http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/wss/download.php/12306/oasi s- 2004xx-wss-username-token-profile-1.1-changes.pdf /paulc 1. Section 2.2 Namespaces and Section 6 References a) References to RFC2396 [URI] RFC2396 has been superceded by RFC 3986 in January 2005. We should refer to the new RFC: http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3986.txt 2. Section 6 References a) [SOAP12] W3C Working Draft, "SOAP Version 1.2 Part 1: Messaging Framework", 26 June 2002. This should be changed to: [SOAP12] W3C Recommendation, "SOAP Version 1.2 Part 1: Messaging Framework", 23 June 2003. b) [URI] T. Berners-Lee, R. Fielding, L. Masinter, "Uniform Resource Identifiers (URI): Generic Syntax," RFC 2396, MIT/LCS, U.C. Irvine, Xerox Corporation, August 1998. This should be changed to: [URI] T. Berners-Lee, R. Fielding, L. Masinter, "Uniform Resource Identifiers (URI): Generic Syntax," RFC 3986, MIT/LCS, Day Software, Adobe Systems, January 2005. c) [XML-Encrypt] W3C Working Draft, "XML Encryption Syntax and Processing," 04 March 2002 should be changed to: [XML-Encrypt] W3C Recommendation, "XML Encryption Syntax and Processing," 10 December 2002 d) [XPointer] "XML Pointer Language (XPointer) Version 1.0, Candidate 434 Recommendation", DeRose, Maler, Daniel, 11 September 2001. I would delete this reference since it is NEVER used in the Userame Token spec. /* end of comments */ Paul Cotton, Microsoft Canada 17 Eleanor Drive, Nepean, Ontario K2E 6A3 Tel: (613) 225-5445 Fax: (425) 936-7329 mailto:pcotton@microsoft.com
