Subject: RE: [wss] Updated Draft WSS FAQ
Hal, One comment I have is that I think there is a statement in item 4 that appears to me to be inaccurate: "Nor is the use of WS-Security required by other Web Service standards." The WS-SX standards, I believe, are heavily dependant on WS-Security, which, I think, from the perspective of the question is a good thing. Even if one literally takes the question "Is the product of this committee intended ...?" to reflect the committees intent, I believe the original concept of WS-Security was that it was to be a foundational standard on which others were to be built. Otherwise, I think it is a very good faq. Added References. 2. Added REL. 3. Fixed Date of Interop. I had to make some arbitrary decisions. For example, I decided to give 2 references for SOAP and SAML, but just one for MIME. I am also not sure about the formatting. I created an HTML file with Word, which I have never done before. Comments welcome. Hal
