Subject: Action item on Comment List and Errata
On the last call I took an action item to report on changes relating to Errata, Comment Lists and what happens after a TC closes. The news items are the following: OASIS has changed the comment list procedure to no longer use a web form. This is expected to eliminate the SPAM and so far it seems to be working. The OASIS Board has approved changes to the TC process, which include a new errata procedure. The changes will go into effect ASAP, but the staff has not had time to publish them yet. Basically a TC can vote an Errata document once every six months and put it out for 15 day public review. ---- OASIS policy is to leave archives of groups up forever. Also comment lists will continue to function, including allowing people to join and post comments. Of course there is no way to know if anyone will read the comments. It is still the case at OASIS that actions on specifications can only be taken by a technical committee. This includes committee drafts, public reviews, committee specs, submission to OASIS and Errata. Hal
