OASIS members,
Members of the OASIS eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML) TC [1] have recently approved two Special Majority Votes [2] to advance two Committee Specifications as Candidate OASIS Standards (COS). These COSs now enter a 60-day public review period in preparation for a member ballot to consider their approval as OASIS Standards.

Specification Overviews:
XACML 3.0 Export Compliance-US (EC-US) Profile V1.0 defines a profile for the use of XACML in expressing policies for complying with USA government regulations for export compliance (EC). It defines standard attribute identifiers useful in such policies, and recommends attribute value ranges for certain attributes.
XACML Intellectual Property Control (IPC) Profile V1.0 defines a profile for the use of XACML in expressing policies for intellectual property control (IPC). It defines standard attribute identifiers useful in such policies, and recommends attribute value ranges for certain attributes.
4 Statements of Use for each were received from Axiomatics, NextLabs, Oracle, and ViewDS [3].
Public Review Period:
The 60-day public reviews start 21 October 2014 at 00:00 UTC and end 19 December 2014 at 23:59 UTC.
This is an open invitation to comment. OASIS solicits feedback from potential users, developers and others, whether OASIS members or not, for the sake of improving the interoperability and quality of its technical work.
