A small addition David.. WSO2 also supports Thrift from it's latest release and we have experienced 15 times performance improvement with Thrift over SOAP...

Hi,

There are different implementations today on the market, some of which might be WS-only. Check out WS02, SunXACML, EnterpriseXACML, and of course Axiomatics.

Axiomatics (the vendor I work for) provides PDPs that can be implemented / exposed as WS, REST, RMI, or simply embedded. As a matter of fact, most often customers will choose to wrap the PDP engine using their own protocol or simply native Java / .Net C# objects.

Axiomatics has attested to both XACML 2.0 and XACML 3.0.

Give me a shout for more information.
