Subject: RE: Subcommittee Work and E-mail Lists

One of the initial things I think we should work on as a complete group is
the Domain Model. Those of you who participate in SAML will know what I am
talking about. For those of you who don't, the Domain Model is a
non-normative description of the various components that will make up a
system, their names, and their interactions. One of the important thing
about a Domain Model is that it serves as a common reference point around
which the various subcommittee's can coordinate. In my opinion, SAML didn't
really start to make progress until we got the Domain Model worked out (with
Kudos to Hal Lockhart and Dave Orchard).

I would be willing to put together a straw man XACML Domain Model by 6/1.
Anyone who would like to assist is more than welcome . . .

Subject: Subcommittee Work and E-mail Lists

Once a subcommittee reaches three people I suggest you initiate work. I
suggest that one of the first products be a brief statement of work.

Two folks have suggesting the prefixing of subject lines with an appropriate
tag in order to keep all work very visible to all but easily manageable by
e-mail client software. I suggest we start doing this and see how it goes. I
also suggest that people write their client rules to allow for FW: RE: etc
at the start of the subject.

How about these for prefixes:

[IP] for Intellectual Property
[Interop] for Standards And Interoperability
[Use Case] for Use Case
[Protocol] for Protocol
[Rep] for Representation
