Subject: [xacml] 12/11/02 XACML 1.0 Conformance Test Suite updated

An updated XACML 1.0 Conformance Test Suite has just been
e-mailed to Michiharu Kudo and to implementors who have requested
direct mailings. Michiharu has been requested to post this
update to the XACML TC web page. If anyone else would like a
copy e-mailed directly, please let me know. The zip file is
quite large, but it can also take several days for the TC Web
site to be updated.

This version resolves all errors reported during the public
review period for the specification. The changes from the
previous (12/6/02) version are:

IIA002Special.txt - fixed a misspelling; used better grammar
IIA004Special.txt - slightly modified wording per Comment#68:
If an initial policy with invalid...
            ^^^^^^^
            added
If ...CAN NEVER attempt to evaluate an initial policy
                                             ^^^^^^^
                                             added

IIB045Policy.xml - added a second resource to the Target so that
this will perform the intended test

IIC003Special.txt - see IIA004Special.txt
IIC012Special.txt - see IIA004Special.txt
IIC014Special.txt - see IIA004Special.txt
IIC051Policy.xml - changed the base64Binary AttributeValue to a
valid value that still does not match the Request value.
IIC051Request.xml - changed the base64Binary AttributeValue to a
valid value that still does not match the Policy value.
The previous value was also valid, but I wanted to give
credit to both commenters who supplied values for
      IIC051Policy.xml

I know this is rather late to be making changes for anyone
planning to attest to "successfully using." If the changes to
II.B.45 or II.C.51 cause any implementer who is otherwise
planning to attest to "successfully using" XACML by 13 December
2002 to fail, I suggest you send your attestation to the XACML TC
Chairs anyway, with a note saying these late changes are the only
tests you are failing. The other changes should not affect any
implementation that was passing the previous set of tests.

Please continue to report any errors you find in these tests to
xacml-comment@lists.oasis-open.org
