XACML InterOp Opportunity for Members
Vernon
and all,
There are 3 items that we are committed in providing for the interop,
1. Business Use Case (Progress Note) which we did not demonstrate at RSA.
2. Payload Filtering of sensitive clinical data - discussed early on but not
included at RSA
3. Rework of Emergency Access to cross-enterprise federated model
Also, we are branching existing app to include "Purpose of Use"(POU).
POU will influence required and granted permissions, as well as the patient's
consent directives. I am not opposed to Vendors extending or replacing
functionality within VA app for this demostration.
The plan is to begin releasing these changes to our EHTAC site in July
timeframe so members can begin to prepare.

Hi Jane,
What
is currently being proposed as the interop demo at Ditton Manor?
It
would be good to see a more involved scenario, maybe with Vendors suppling some
other bits to the puzzle. EG: PIP and/ or PAP. Is the current plan to re-demo a
newer release of the VA application?
Thanks,
Vernon.
Dear XACML TC Members:
As you already know, OASIS would like to hold
another XACML Interop
demonstration at our fall Forum in London
(http://events.oasis-open.org/home/forum/2008). We've tentatively
scheduled
the demonstration to take place at the end of day
one (Wednesday, 1 Oct).
This demonstration will be followed by a
networking reception featuring all
the Interop participants. The entire Forum,
including the demonstration and
reception, will take place at CA's beautiful
Ditton Manor
<http://events.oasis-open.org/home/forum/2008/venue>.
InterOps are designed to be self-supporting. A
flat fee of 500 GPB / 1,000
USD per participating company/organization has
been set to cover the costs
associated with the InterOp. This fee includes:
* Handout materials
* Audio visual equipment
* Company and InterOp signage
* Internet connectivity
* Practice room
* OASIS staff time
* Marketing: flyers, press release distribution,
newsletters, announcements,
web presences, etc
* Pass to attend the event (one per organization,
a 250 GBP value)
Each InterOp participant must remit payment using
the online InterOp form
(link below) by 30 June in order to confirm your
participation. If you have
any questions regarding the fee or the InterOp,
please feel free to contact
me directly.
Regards, Jane
