Administrivia XACML Interop John noted that the first meeting talked about tests to run. Initial scope is to rerun use Cases from RSA and extending into some aerospace specific technologies. John thinks it is starting to get close to critical mass. Weekly meetings will be held on Tuesdays (+/- 9:00am PT). Boeing, NextLabs, Axiomatics, Siemens, Quest have expressed some interest. Other members encouraged to participate. Jean-Paul offered to assist in adapting a policy to comply with TSCP. IPC Profile John noted it went for Public Review for 30 days. Should be complete by the middle of the month. He noted that TSCP had some good feedback and that there will likely be updates based upon this. EC-US Profile Bill noted that he had thought he had posted the Profile to TC Admin but was mistaken. He will post in the next day or so as a 15-day review. His initial work on this has been captured in the TC wiki. Policy Template Profile Meets two basic Use Cases: (1) Introduces a basic templating mechanism for PAPs to handle multiple Policies that have much in common with specific variation points; (2) Introduces a Policy template that is consumable by the PEP, whereby the context of the Request leads to the generation of a specific Policy instance to apply. These processes my with by statically or dynamically. Rich raised the question of impact on the specification. Danny noted that static may be normative, dynamic be optional as a way to address this. Hal offered that multiple conformance clauses may also address this. Danny introduced the concept of paramterizing an Attribute Descriptor in addition to the discussion on the value of parametrized Attribute Values. He will post further investigation on this to the list/wiki. Hal noted that the next steps are really dictated by how stable the author think the proposal is. Once editing is ready to begin, a request is made to TC Admin for each Profile. The TC Admin will respond with a document shell that may then be used to document the work.
