Administrivia Meeting time change coming up. November meeting 2:30PM ET Goes into effect NEXT meeting. IPC/EC Profiles - 60 Day Public Review Still under review. Privacy Profile - Submitted to TC-ADMIN In progress with TC Admin JSON Profile, WD 19 - Uploaded David: I move that the TC approve JSON Profile of XACML 3.0 Version 1.0, Working Draft 19 and all associated artifacts packaged together in https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/document.php?document_id=54384&wg_abbrev=xacml as a Committee Specification Draft and designate the DOC version of the specification as authoritative. Second: Remon VOTE: APPROVED unanimously. David: I move to approve the Chair requesting that TC Administration hold a Special Majority Vote to approve JSON Profile of XACML 3.0 Version 1.0, Working Draft 19 contained in https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/document.php?document_id=54384&wg_abbrev=xacml as a Committee Specification. I further move that the TC affirm that changes have been made since the last public review, that the changes made are documented in Appendix B and that the TC judges these changes to be Non-Material in accordance with the definition in the OASIS TC Process. Bill: I second. VOTE: APPROVED unanimously. RBAC Profile Ballot - Passed CS E-ballot passed. Now a Committee Specification. III. Issues JSON Profile David: The comments posted in June were largely cosmetic. I also corrected an editorial error. I believe that we are ready to move onto the next step. Hal: If there are not material changes we can open it up to promotion without Public Review. Is the TC ready to proceed or does it need more time? Did you mean NO standard schema for JSON in your note? David: That is correct. There was not much in the way of standardization when I started on this. Perhaps there has been more lately. Remon: Yes, it has picked up a bit. Hal: Historically the TC has been conservative in these situations. Hal: Any thoughts by the TC? Hearing none I will assume that the TC is ready to progress with Profile. {read non-material change text on Oasis site}. David, should we have a Public Review? David: I think that it has been long enough that we should be able to move forward. Mohammad: I have been requesting that we should make an XML representation of the JSON. I would like to pursue this further. Hal: Do we have a volunteer to develop examples of this? Mohammad: I think this is important to have these examples. I would like to ask authors why we dont have them. David: Historically the TC has developed examples outside of the Profiles themselves. Remon: JS developers have a low tolerance for XML so this Mohammad: I don't want to hold this up but I think we are lacking formal definition of what this is based upon. Hal: The general consensus is that we move forward, but it's a good idea to create ancillary information, including an XML schema that this is based upon at a later point. Admin Profile Hal: Work is ongoing on the TC list. REST Profile Remon: The Public Review has ended without comments. I move to approve the Chair requesting that TC Administration hold a Special Majority Ballot to approve REST Profile of XACML v3.0 Version 1.0, CSD-03 contained in http://docs.oasis-open.org/xacml/xacml-rest/v1.0/csprd03/xacml-rest-v1.0-csprd03.html as a Committee Specification. Richard Hill: I second. VOTE: APPROVED unanimously. JSON question = xacml-dev David: There was a comment on the xacml-dev list asking if we would be interested in considering JSON in the Core spec. Hal: This may be possible via another Profile. It will take some investigation. David: Actually, they may be suggesting a Profile. Hal: I need to look at the Content element to see how it is defined, unless anyone knows offhand? I suggest we discuss this further on the list. {General consensus} adjourned
