FYI

This is about the new ISO/IEC Joint Technical Committee
One/SC 37 Biometrics group. It is supposed to work only
on generic biometrics standards and not anything related
to security. But this promises to be an important group.

INCITS M1 Biometrics is the US TAG to this SC. But groups
like INCITS T4 Security Techniques will be progressing a
security Protection Profile under the Common Criteria that
is coming out of the US government.

6782) Call for
Membership on the New Subcommittee 37 on Biometrics -- NBs should 
Submit
their request for P or O membership status to the JTC 1 
Secretariat ASAP
but not later than 9 September 2002.

You are encourage to circulate this document as you see 
appropriate to
colleagues from other countries that might be interested in 
participating
in SC37 through their countries.
