Subject: Need your help asap for a critical #33 YES vote for XCBF before Aug 31deadline
Mr Gannon, Please help the XCBF TC . The OASIS ballot closes tomorrow Aug.31. Very few company reps bother to vote (only 32 out of 329 so far). For us in XCBF TC, a critical #33 YES vote must get in before end-of-day Aug.31. But the voter, John Messing of American Bar Association, is unable to do so due to a long standing error in the system of rep names. The matter seems to not be resolved since June. Please help John Messing resolve this matter so he can vote by tomorrow. I was not recognized by the KAVI system as the voting representative of the ABA. I found out for the first time today that a Karen Kalnins is incorrectly listed as the ABA primary and voting representative. I do not know who she is or how the error occurred. I do not feel that the ABA is responsible. I had numerous conversations with Scott McGrath in June and July about the status as the primary voting member to OASIS of the ABA. On August 3, 2003, I formally transmitted the appointment letter from the ABA Board of Governors to Scott McGrath via email. A copy of the email and the attachment are attached. On August 23, 2003, having experienced persistent difficulties in posting to the LegalXML Steering Committee, I wrote to Karl and indicated him I was also concerned whether I was properly listed as the voting member of the ABA. I asked to please make sure that "I am included on any notices about voting as the ABA voting representative." I never received a reply to this communication. I have been occupied with other matters and decided to vote on the weekend. When I tried today, I was rejected from the system. I tried to call Scott McGrath, but he was not in (not surprising for a holiday weekend). Please inform me how to proceed in the circumstances. I would like to cast the votes on behalf of the ABA as a member, and believe any proper voting results should include the ABA under the circumstances. Thank you.
