I know the list has been very quiet as many of us
are currently focused on implementing the XRI 2.0 infrastructure necessary to begin offering interoperable XDI data sharing service.
However I need to bring up one timely topic we need to discuss.
We had decided late last year that we would try
to hold a f2f at the OASIS Symposium in the second week of May.
That’s now just six weeks away as shown by Jane Harnad’s reminder email below.
So we need to decide if this is still something we’d like to do
given the hiatus we’ve been on while implementing XRI 2.0.
Please post back with your thoughts on whether you’d be able to attend.

: RE: TC Meeting at
the Symposium
Importance: High
Hello Drummond,
I am following up on the enclosed note that I
sent out regarding your upcoming meeting during the Symposium. Please
confirm the details as soon as possible. If you could also confirm your meeting
times – that would be great. I am planning to post all the schedule of
meetings as soon as that information it confirmed. Also, I wondered if
you might be willing to post the event on your TC homepage – highlighting
of course your TC meeting. Enclosed are a couple brief details that you
might consider posting.
Thanks, Jane
EVENT OVERVIEW:
OASIS Symposium 2006 : The Meeting of
Interoperability
9-12 May – San Francisco, CA

Seamless, out-of-the-box interoperability has
been the holy grail motivating most of the standardization initiatives.
Everyone agrees that interoperability is key, yet different definitions of the
solution abound. The OASIS Symposium brings together leaders in industry and
government to explore the various facets of interoperability, their
dependencies, enabling technologies, supporting standards, practices and
opportunities for improvement. This year’s event includes: business and
technical sessions, complimentary tutorials and workshops, OASIS Technical
Committee meetings, OASIS TC updates, OASIS Annual General Member meeting,
poster presentations, table-top exhibits, and more.
