AGENDA

1) UPDATE ON XRI PROGRESS

John gave a brief update on the progress of the discussions between the XRI
TC and W3C TAG, which are proceeding well. See the XRI TC meeting minutes
for more details.

2) OPENID TRUST EXCHANGE AND XDI LINK CONTRACTS

Tatsuki sent to the list a presentation that summarized the "OpenID Trust
Exchange" (TX) protocol proposal.

	http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xdi/200810/msg00007.html

Tatsuki walked us through the protocol. He explained that the name has been
changed from "Trusted Data Exchange" to "Trust Exchange". This architecture
is also in use by NRI clients including Japan Airlines. It uses OpenID as a
mechanism for bootstrapping a trusted data sharing relationship anchored by
a link contract.

The proposal includes a number of proposed semantics for link contracts. We
reviewed some of these and discussed their potential mappings to XDI link
contract format. Markus noted that he has updated his implementation of XDI
link contracts in XDI4j according to the pattern at:

	http://wiki.oasis-open.org/xdi/XdiOneIssues/LinkContractPattern

Tatsuki said the OpenID Trust Exchange spec was still evolving and agreed to
keep us appraised as the contract semantics evolved. For its part, the XDI
TC will maintain a mapping to XDI link contract semantics, with the goal of
having OpenID Trust Exchange contracts expressable in either XML or XDI.

3) $ADD$$

We did not have time to go over this so it was differed to next week's call.
