1) NEW DRAFT OF XDI 1.0 ADDRESSING AND GRAPH MODEL WIKI SPEC

Drummond has posted an updated wiki version of the core XDI 1.0 spec reflecting the new definitions of $has and $has$a predicates (and their inverses). This is now at a new wiki page address because it no longer includes "RDF" directly in the name of the spec.

  http://wiki.oasis-open.org/xdi/XdiOne/AddressingAndGraphModel

The main update to the spec is the new metagraph predicate definitions, captured in a new "golden triangle" diagram. This is what Giovanni and Drummond discussed. Giovanni mostly had questions around the bottom leg, i.e., the $a and $is$a relationship. He wondered how this was captured in predicate/object relationships. Drummond explained that in the semantics of $a statements, the subject of the statement is playing the role of a predicate in the graph, describing the type of the object.

We discussed whether this is similar to domain and range statements in RDF and concluded it was different.

Drummond also noted that the new wiki spec page also contains several other key proposals that we will discuss via email or on future calls.

2) NEXT CALL

There will NOT be a call next week due to Drummond flying home from London. The next call will be in two weeks, immediately after Internet Identity Workshop.
