Subject: Abstract XDI data model

We discussed an interesting thing today. The abstract data model for XDI is viewed as the following models:
[Bill] XDI Data model as a set of XRIs, each of which may be an XRI wrapped URI
[Drummond] XDI Data model as a graph vertices and edges
[Markus] XDI Data model as a collection of subjects, each one of which has a collection of predicates, each one of which has either a literal, or inner graph, or collection of references

The open issue is whether these are fundamentally different, in which case we also need to pick one, or whether we are talking about the same thing?

I am posting this at Joseph's suggestion so we can start a discussion thread on it.

Thanks Joe.

I am having technical difficulties with the conference number in that it won't accept the pin I have. We may either have to do this strictly over Idearpad, or cancel and pick up again next week.

Bill

Unfortunately, I'm in a meeting that is running long. Not sure if I'll be able to make the TC call today.

I plan on adding some app examples to
http://wiki.oasis-open.org/xdi/PdxExampleApps within the next week.
I'm mostly focused on social networking use cases at the moment.
Drummond and I had talked about using PdxExampleApps page as an index linking to each example app as a separate wiki page. Let me know if you'd like to do something different.

Cheers,
Joe
