Subject: Facts: XSPARQL (W3C member submissions)
Please find here a short presentation of XSPARQL, a new W3C member submission intended to fill the gap between RDF and its XML representation. http://xsparql.deri.org/sites/xsparql/files/XSPARQLin5slides.pdf This effort is interesting, because, even using a different technology (i.e. RDF+XML) than XRI+XDI they have understood the reason why the semantic web has not yet turned in what they call the "web of data" (our dataweb): There is not yet a simple and developer-friendly tool allowing to pass from a semantic model to its syntactic representation and viceversa. In this scenario, XDI could be THE breakthrough, provided it will be natively both a syntactic markup and a semantically aware language.
