Subject: RE: [xdi] Groups - xdi-graph-wrapping-up-v2.doc uploaded

Hello Bill,

thank you for your feedback. I agreed with the "data uri xref" approach.

Only one caveat maybe - which is just related to date/time literals...

Here is a note on this topic by Tim Berners Lee

Syntax: Allow naked literal (limited, absolute, UTC) date-times in W3C
standard format e.g. 2010-06-26 or 2010-06-26T12:04Z. (This format is
distinguishable from other numeric forms. Date-times are a common and
important datatype and reading and writing them with an explicit
datatype is boring. In practice people end up putting them in data on
the web as strings which prevents processing software and user agents
providing appropriate functionality)

(http://www.w3.org/DesignIssues/RDF-Future.html)

so instead that having this date expressed in base64, maybe could we
have just a string?

E.g. =abc+age/$d/(data:,2010-09-20T10:11:12Z)

(comma after data: is required according to rfc2397)

What do you think?

Best Regards,
Giovanni
