THE ETHERPAD LINK FOR TODAY IS:
1) REPORT FROM THE EUROPEAN IDENTITY CONFERENCE
Markus and Drummond reported that a major track at EIC was the concept of "Life Management Platforms". Kuppinger Cole is going to publicly release their Life Management Platform paper for Internet Identity Workshop.
OpenID Connect was also a major focus of the conference. Drummond said that it is becoming much more clear how OpenID Connect is a good "onramp" to XDI.
2) IDTRUST BUDGET PROPOSAL
Markus said he talked to Dee Schur at EIC and the contract is essentially done and just needs to be signed off by OASIS.
3) SPEC REPOSITORY REPORT
Bill Barnhill was not able to join the call.
4) OPEN SOURCE PROJECT UPDATES
Mike said that OpenXDI is working hard on a test tool. It is modeled on the OpenID Connect test tool from a Norwegian. He showed the XDI server test tool that is under development at the OpenXDI Project.
5) IIW PREP
We had a brief discussion about preparation for XDI sessions at IIW. Mike said he believes there are two key cases for XDI:
- The need for persistent identifiers for security reasons.
- The simplicity of XDI authorizations in XDI messaging.
Mike felt that we should show how XDI messaging works and how it can leverage OpenID Connect.
Drummond said that Phil Windley also plans to show he will be integrating XDI into his KRL (Kinetic Rules Language).
6) NEXT CALL
The next call is next week at the regular time.
