Subject: Re: [xdi] Agenda: XDI TC Telecon Friday 09:00 - 10:30AM PT 2014-06-13

Here is the latest version of XDI policy, updated to the OASIS site, updated from what I sent out earlier in the week.

This was the pattern Markus gave me in the XDI Policy Draft during our single editing session

 (<--AA-->/<--RA-->)<--TA--><--ID-->$do/<--operation-->/(<--AA-->/<--RA-->)<--AA--><--object-graph-->$t
I since added $t (TIME)

In the example below, there is no <--TA--><--ID-->. I assume those fields are optional?

([=]!:uuid:1111/[=]!:uuid:2222)$do/$get/([=]!:uuid:1111/[=]!:uuid:2222)[=]!:uuid:1111<#email>

Removing them, in that case I'd have

(<--AA-->/<--RA-->)$do/<--operation-->/(<--AA-->/<--RA-->)<--AA--><--object-graph-->$t

Then, doing the shift per Markus' example, it would look like this

(<--AA-->/<--RA-->)$do/<--operation--><--AA--><--object-graph-->$t

Correct?

Markus, great job writing up the "notation shift" on this agenda. I look forward to discussing it on the call tomorrow.

PRESENTATIONS/DISCUSSIONS

XDI policies

Dan has updated the XDI policy document and is looking for input to help with the XDI syntax parts.

Notation shift

After the “link contract shift”, in which link contract patterns have been changed to use the XDI inner root feature, we are now discussing the “notation shift”, which involves the following:

- Abandoning the rule that the source and target context node of a relational arc have to be inside the same inner graph

- Abandoning the inner root “short notation”

Before the “link contract shift”, a link contract looks like this:

[=]!:uuid:1111$to[=]!:uuid:2222$from$do/$get/[=]!:uuid:1111<#email>

After the “link contract shift”, but before the “notation shift”, a link contract looks like this

([=]!:uuid:1111/[=]!:uuid:2222)$do/$get/([=]!:uuid:1111/[=]!:uuid:2222)[=]!:uuid:1111<#email>

Or in “short notation”:

[=]!:uuid:1111/[=]!:uuid:2222/($do/$get/[=]!:uuid:1111<#email>)

After the “notation shift”, a link contract looks like this:

([=]!:uuid:1111/[=]!:uuid:2222)$do/$get/[=]!:uuid:1111<#email>
