Subject: Re: [xdi] Updated Graph editor

Hello Hubert,

This is great. I've already played a bit with the new version, and it's just so much fun to use it.
Let's look at it during this week's XDI2 and/or XDI TC call.
I'll try to work on integrating the other tools with the editor!

Greetings,

Following our last update, we got some great feedback and a good list of suggestions for improvements from Drummond and Markus.

I just uploaded another release which, among other things, offers:
- Improved UI (new menu etc.)
- Cut & Paste function for a group of nodes (with Undo)
- Advanced graph import (XDI statements can now be imported as a separate graph or merged with the existing graph)
- More elaborate sub-graph folding/unfolding
- Updated graphics for a closer match to the XDI notation
- View-to-fit and zoom-in functions
- Support of launching the editor with URL pointing at a graph to be loaded (this is to enable direct integration with some of the XDI2 tools)

In the hopefully near future the tool will support the "grid-form" layout that Drummond requested.

You can download the code here [1] or run it directly there [2].

Note that there are known incompatibilities with the latest release(s) of Firefox - nothing we can easily fix since this is mostly a FF issue. The tool runs OK in Safari, Chrome and Opera.

Thanks,
Hubert
