XDI Deep Dive learnings

Several members and friends of the XDI TC have met for a 3 day face-to-face “deep dive” to go over a wide range of XDI topics, including link contracts, templates, and instantiation. Let’s hear a summary of learnings and recommendations.

Link contract instantiation

Let’s continue to discuss link contracts, templates, instantiation, community contracts, requester contracts, etc.

Let’s also figure out how link contract instantiation should be covered by the XDI specs, maybe a new separate spec called “XDI Authentication and Authorization”?

Transactional integrity

We have discussed the topic of transaction integrity a number of times in the past without reaching a conclusion. This seems to now have new relevance in conjunction with link contract instantiation.

ABNF after notation shift

Joseph requested help with the XDI ABNF, explaining that after the notation shift it would not be possible to have a common ABNF that covers all serialization formats.
