Variables section in XDI Core

Drummond is currently drafting this section of XDI Core 1.0, which is very closely based on the XDI Variables page on the wiki:

Secure Messaging Walkthrough

On last Thursday’s XDI2 call, a high-level walkthrough of an XDI secure messaging flow was created. This combines many advanced XDI concepts, such as $push, the websocket binding, connection requests, channels, various types of link contracts, and encryption. Let’s start with this walkthrough as an example for these advanced concepts, examine it, and try to add more details:
