Hi Uli,

XLIFF file are designed for 1 source language and 1 target language per
document, however, you could provide the translation of the source text in
various languages in <alt-trans> elements associated to a <source>/<target>
pairs.

It is strongly recommended that content within the <file> element be
uniformly bilingual. In other words, each <source> and <target> element that
is a child of <trans-unit> is of the same language as the source-language
and target-language attributes of the <file> element, respectively. The
xml:lang attribute should not be used in those elements. The exception is
that <source> and <target> elements that are children of <alt-trans> may
contain an xml:lang attribute of a different language than that of the
source-language and target-language attributes of the <file> element.

So, you could develop a tool or an XSL template that would populate the
<trans-unit> elements with translations from different languages if you
want.

Hello,

we are using German as the source for all our translations.
But some Translators are not native german speakers and would see an
additional source language, english or spanish for example.
In XLIFF only one source and target element is allowed per Unit.
How can we solve this problem.
With more source elements or with multiple XLIFF Files?
