Subject: Re: [xliff-omos] Missing Property for inline tags

Hi Phil, the example under 4.7.2.2 is wrong in XLIFF Version 2.0, please check 2.1 where it had been fixed.

http://docs.oasis-open.org/xliff/xliff-core/v2.1/os/xliff-core-v2.1-os.html#inlineCodesÂ

and and <ec> are atomic in XLIFF 2 and as such cannot have content, the example is plain wrong just adapted from 1.2. This was discussed a few times in Symposia and fixed in 2.1.

@disp andÂ@equiv are sufficient attributes/properties for rendering agents.

If the original contents need to be stored for whatever reasons (e.g. roundtrip) this needs to be stored as original data.. no matter what serialization, JSON or XML..
I hope thisÂhelps?

Cheers dF

Happy New Year all!

I was looking at the example under heading 4.7.2.2 of the XLIFF 2.0 Specification and wondering if weâre missing a Text/Value/Content property for all inlines or whether the `disp` and `equiv` properties are sufficient?

In XML we have both `disp` and `equiv` attributes PLUS the content of the element. In JSON we have only the properties.
