Lucia: we presented in the XLIFF TC and the main concern that it rose was when talking about the question of whether the tool reads or actively uses. It needs more clarification. Future survey: precise questions “actively uses” and “reads”. Joachim: mostly tool providers understood “actively uses” by “modifies and creates”. Next steps: Bryan: continue working on this activity did not receive any negative answer, which is positive. David: this should become a routine, twice a year and give tool providers a chance to work on that. Joachim: tools do not change so often. David: I understand, but we should push the significant misses. I will open the call more often. We will make it a regular publication, where we present the state of the art. Joachim: This can encourage other tools to participate. A second clarification on the survey: which XLIFF files created from other tools can we roundtrip, it should be “For with other applications have you tested your roundtrip works.” Lucia: What should we do know? David: We will publish this as is. I would just change the minimum and clarify the problematic issues. A quarterly publication can be a good idea and have a permanent liaison with tool providers, so they can update their information whenever they want. Bryan: David , it was mentioned in the main TC, that the IN meeting should be a topic of this SC. David: I considered accepted in the SC. Bryan: I mentioned in TC that the XLIFF Symposium could take place in Seattle next year. David: I wrote an extensive paper for Multilingual, I talk about standardisation bodies etc.
