Hi Tony, 1. In reference to the "certification" versus "modification" in the "Rules for Major vs. Minor releases:" section, your point is taken. Maybe "validation" would be a better choice? 2. In reference to the "Rules for Name Changes" section, I agree about the wording. Is the following more acceptable? "The names of required elements and attributes will not be changed. However, a new element/attribute may be added that has different semantics. The new element/attribute would replace the current required element/attribute and may or may not be required and the replaced element/attribute would no longer be required." cheers, john
