Yves, I did not say anything about the translate defaults issue in this thread.. This is obviously a completely different issue.. I agree the translate defaults are an important issue but that issue is discussed in its own thread..

Changing the default for translate is a major change: It implies a lot of coding re-work.

 

Why not add a new item? Maybe it can be labeled differently to ensure we track the fact it is an internal TC comment rather than an external public comment with time restriction.

The specification says: "Modifiers SHOULD NOT replicate inline codes that have their attribute canCopy set to no."
I cannot recall why this is not a MUST NOT. Does anyone remembers the rational for this?
