Subject: RE: [xliff] Modify the meeting frequency to just 1st Tuesday of each month?

One more possible topic:

- The spec indicate that custom extensions and modules using the Fragment Identifier mechanism must register the prefix they use
through the TC:

[[
Section 3.2:

The prefix of a module or an extension MUST be registered with the XLIFF TC.
]]

We need to put in place a way to register those prefixes and, I think, a file to store them in a well-defined format so tools can
access the list programmatically if needed (like the validators).

Cheers,

David,

Yes, this is very sensible. As we've heard no objections, and an expressed interest at 1/month meetings while we wait for XLIFF 2.0
to become a standard, I will schedule the third Tuesday in May, and the third Tuesday in June, and from then on (probably through
summer) the first Tuesday of each month.

To the May agenda I will add:

- The Charter clarification that is a long standing skeleton that we should clear before we go for the membership ballot
- The standalone MIME type template
- 2.1 and 2.x positions
- strategy for the OASIS ballot

Thanks,

Bryan

Thanks Bryan, all, I was not at the meeting, sorry.
The first June meeting is likely to be skipped, because several of us will be at the Symposium and we will have the public info
sessions on 4th of June (cannot count against voters eligibility unless followed by a short closed session). Also I think that we
should start working on 2.1 ITS mapping and advanced validation support.
So IMHO the only 2 meetings that make sense to skip are the 1st Tue in May (6th May) meeting and the 1st Tue in June (3rd June), we
should meet on the third Tue in May (20th May) and the third Tue in June (17th June).
Also would you please ping Chet re our COS ballot? It is again 3 days when it should have taken 1 or 2 according to Chet.
The first Tue in May is the best candidate for skipping as it will be immediately after the COS ballot and the COS transition does
not require any TC action, it is just me filling out the transition request based on the ballot outcome.

I hope this makes sense
Cheers
dF

Thanks
dF

    Hello,

At the last meeting we discussed that there will be a lull in TC activity for the period between the ballot for the Candidate
Specification and the passage of XLIFF 2.0 as an OASIS Standard.

As we discussed the shift in workload from the TC at large, to much administrative work for the officers, the mood was clearly
in favor of temporarily changing the meetings for 2-per month to 1-per month.

Please respond to this thread if you object to that schedule.

I will assume if I have not heard dissent by 24 April that this is the will of the TC, and I will begin only scheduling
meetings for the first Tuesday of each month. Once we pass XLIFF 2.0 as a standard I will reopen the subject with the TC and likely
need to go back to twice a month meetings.

    Thanks,

    Bryan
