FEISGILTT Vancouver Edition
-----------------------------------------
4th Federated Event for Interoperability Standardization in GILT Technologies

Chaired by David Filip (OASIS XLIFF TC, University of Limerick) and Dave Lewis (CNGL, Trinity College Dublin)

XLIFF 2.0 has been published as an OASIS Standard on August 5, 2014. The Vancouver edition of FEISGILTT will concentrate on XLIFF 2.x interoperability with other industry standards that are relevant during the localization life cycle, prominently
  1. TBX - seeking best practice how to include TBX data as XLIFF 2.0 extensions. After some inclusion best practices are developed, ideally this should become a work item for an XLIFF 2.x version.
  2. ITS 2.0 - ITS 2.0 XLIFF mapping has been developed at the ITS Interest Group at W3C and is now being integrated as an XLIFF 2.1 set of modules.
  3. RDF and other linked data standards, how to make use of big localization data.
  4. Advanced validation artifacts and methods for XLIFF 2.x

This will be a highly interactive event. Speakers giving position statements and driving the discussions will be announced closer to the date.

This will be a free session. Participants will have an option to purchase the pre-conference lunch.
