Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (XLIFF-69) clarification for inline with non-source content
Bryan Schnabel created XLIFF-69: ----------------------------------- Summary: clarification for inline with non-source content Key: XLIFF-69 URL: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/XLIFF-69 Project: OASIS XML Localisation Interchange File Format (XLIFF) TC Issue Type: Bug Components: ITS Module Affects Versions: 2.1_csprd04 Environment: http://markmail.org/message/habt5ffxftjdk4pi?q=csprd04+list:org%2Eoasis-open%2Elists%2Exliff-comment+order:date-backward&page=2 Reporter: Bryan Schnabel Assignee: Bryan Schnabel Fix For: 2.1_cs01 In section "5.9.7.3.2 Inline Elements" a warning says: "Preserving source elements content that is in other than the main source language as original data stored outside of the translatable content at the unit level and referenced from placeholder codes is NOT advised, as important context would be very likely hidden from translators, human or machine." If it really says this: "Using inline codes to preserving source content that is not in the source language is not advised". Then the sentence could (should) probably be reworded to be simpler and clearer. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.2.2#6258)
