RESCHEDULED: Press Release to Announce Approval of XLIFF 2.1 as OASIS Standard

The XLIFF 2.1 approval press release has been expanded to reference publication of ISO 21720:2017. We're working on securing a few quotes now and hope to issue the announcement next week.

XLIFF Sponsor members--please let me know if you intend to submit a quote. I'm happy to provide a draft of the press release for your review. So far, the only Sponsor quote submitted is from IBM.

The Consortium is in the process of drafting a press release to announce the approval of the XML Localisation Interchange File Format (XLIFF) version 2.1
as an OASIS Standard. We have targeted Tuesday, 27 Feb, for distribution.

While OASIS deeply appreciates the contributions of all members, only Foundational and Sponsor members elect to receive promotional benefits, such as inclusion in announcements directed to the press. The subhead of the XLIFF 2.1 approval press release will highlight:

Foundational and Sponsor members participating in the XLIFF TC may submit quotes (75 words or less) that will be featured in the body of the press release. Please email quotes to me, including a name and title at your organization to whom the quote can be attributed, by Friday, 23 Feb.

If you represent a Contributor-level member, and you wish to be recognized as a leader in the XLIFF work, please contact me immediately for information on changing your membership level to take advantage of this promotional benefit. (The dues increase will be pro-rated based on your renewal date.)

If you are currently an Observer in the XLIFF TC and would like to be included in the press release, please let me know.
