Subject: Supplemental on Organization
Greetings! Eric Wilde was kind enough to point out off-list that organization does exist as a term in his glossary! (It does not appear on the index page but that is an excuse, not a reason for me to not look further!) Apologies to Eric! Eric defines organization as: The Organization is a base topic for topics describing a organized group of bodies. (see: http://wildesweb.com/glossary/organization) Derived from group and has a variety of topic derived from it. Question to Eric: The current XMLVoc definitions provide the following super-sub-class relationships: legal-entity -> organization -> standards body. Would you suggest that we have something more generic than legal-entity (if that is what group would be)? Assuming that one could reason that there are groups that would not qualify as legal-entities? Hope everyone is having a great day!
