Subject: Action items from yesterday's call

I just wanted to record the primary action item coming out of
yesterday's call, which is that by next Tuesday, each of the editor
teams is going to produce and post at least a first draft document for
their section. To wit:

* Drummond, Dave, Mike: Syntax (including Examples, Design Principles,
and BNF, in that order)

* Gabe, Peter: Resolution

* Nat, Gabe: I18N

We won't worry about Motivations, Equivalence, or Glossary yet
(Motivations and Glossary to come primarily from the Requirements doc,
and Equivalence is to-be-assigned once the sections above are further
along).

Also, each of the editor teams should also send Gabe the topics they
would most like to discuss on the next call (Thursday the 12th). Given
that "the specs the thing" now, we should not hesitate to make maximum
use of TC call time to to discuss technical issues we need to close to
drive the spec home. July 1 is only 4 weeks away!

=Drummond

Subject: [xri-editors] Notes of today's phone call today

Here's my notes from todays' concall. We don't officially have subcmte
meetings, but I find it useful to write down what we talked about. If
anyone else would like to add to these notes, please do so.

1.	Discussed new rfc2396 bis proposal and relationship to our work
a.	Concern about new //<domain name> requirement - we're using
domain names differently
b.	Would like to be able to convert an HTTP into a valid XRI by
replacing the "http:" part with "xri:"
2.	Discussed the resolution framework (use RDDDS then escape to
something else, or start with something else)
a.	Structure NA resolution as a choice between RDDDS and "other"
(xri-http), where you can "escape" from RDDDS into "other" and back
3. Drummond discussed his syntax principles
document and there was general consensus on most points - Drummond will
follow up on open discussion items
