Here is a short introduction to my background.

Michael Willett
Wave Systems

.....  bachelor's degree from the US Air Force Academy and his Masters and PhD
degrees in mathematics from NC State University.

After a career as a university professor of mathematics and computer science,
Michael joined IBM as a design architect, later moving into IBM's Cryptography
Competency Center. After retiring from IBM, Willett joined Fiderus, a security
and privacy
consulting practice (later bought by EDS); subsequently, accepting his current
position with Wave Systems, helping to design programmable cryptographic chips
and trust assurance networks. Wave is focused on the creation and life cycle
management of trust infrastructures that
can support trustworthy transactions, with a special focus on client-side
empowerment ("trust @ the edge").

Wave Systems is a founding sponsor of the XNS Public Trust Organization and
Michael is the representative.

Michael is also chair of the Privacy Framework Project of the International
Security, Trust and Privacy Alliance, developing an operational framework for
converting the fair information practices into privacy services and mechanisms.
