AGENDA

1) TASK LIST/SCHEDULE FOR COMPLETION OF XRD 1.0

We reviewed the checklist of what is necessary, now that the CD02 public review is complete and spec modifications are done, to move from here to Committee Specification and then to OASIS Standard. The basic steps are:

a) Hold a ballot on CD 03 that includes language that the changes were not normative, and thus no further public review is needed.

b) Hold a separate ballot to request a Committee Specification vote.

c) Hold the Committee Specification vote (run by the TC administrator).

d) Obtain at least three attestations of usage, as well as any other requirements for an OASIS Standard vote. The attestations must be to one or more of the conformance clauses.

e) Hold the OASIS Standard vote.

# DRUMMOND to ping Will and Eran for the necessary info, then open the XRD 1.0 CD03 vote.

2) JRD

We discussed whether a JSON version of XRD should be a TC deliverable vs. other alternatives.

  http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xri/201005/msg00031.html

George pointed out that there is no normal way to do a lossless transformation between the JSON and XML - the resulting JSON document would be so complex that it would lose the benefits of JSON.

John said the main motivation for a JSON format is direct Javascript manipulation, so it has to remain simple.

The other issue is signing -- there is not a standard way to sign JSON. However for some JRD use cases signing is not required.

John said he's already seen people trying to reference the JRD version of an XRD, so it would be good if it was written down. Drummond agreed. However that is contingent on one or more TC members volunteering to do the work.

# DRUMMOND to ping the list to see if anyone wants to tackle this job.

3) X.509-BASED XRD TRUST PROFILE

Neither Breno or Will were in attendance, so this was postponed.

4) XRI 3.0 SYNTAX AND RESOLUTION

   http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/35972/xri-syntax-3.0-wd03.pdf

Drummond reported that, aside from adding examples, there were no other issues with this draft. However the intension is not to push it to Committee Draft status until the XDI 1.0 specifications are ready, to make sure there are no further revisions needed.

5) NEXT CALL

The decision about whether a call will be needed next week will be made early next week depending on the action items above.
