Monitoring the public depository

I think the depository is a great idea.  Can we make announcements on XML-Dev and 
comp.text.xml once it is available?

There is a free tool that we can use to monitor the ftp site.  Netmind (http://mindit.netmind.com) 
allows you to recieve an email notification anytime a site changes.  It seems to work well for 
both web sites and FTP sites (assuming the site accepts anonymous logons).
